Dear Reader,

Happy New Year! May 2018 be filled with blessings for you and the people you love.

2017 was a very exciting year for me—the launch of a brand new series (Happily Inc), seeing one of my books come to the Hallmark Channel for the very first time, and getting a new puppy. It's because of you and your enthusiasm for my books that all this is possible. (Well, maybe not the puppy, but the book-related stuff is all you.) From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the many blessings you bring to my life.

This year is going to be a fun one, too. I have four brand new books coming out, starting 20 days from now. Plus, on a personal note, my husband and I plan to do a bit of traveling just for fun. Last year, I really didn't have any breaks between books. This year, I've got a few weeks of relaxing to look forward to, one week at a time. I plan to do a lot of reading! I'm so excited!!! I'll try to share some pictures on Facebook and Instagram. Follow me:’susanmallery – Join me on January 23 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT for a Sisters Like Us release day party with prizes!’susanmallery

SISTERS LIKE US (Mischief Bay) – January 23

The grass is always greener on your sister’s side of the fence…

Divorce left Harper Szymanski with a name no one can spell, a house she can't afford and a teenage daughter who's pulling away. With her fledgling virtual-assistant business, she's scrambling to maintain her overbearing mother’s ridiculous Susie Homemaker standards and still pay the bills, thanks to clients like Lucas, the annoying playboy cop who claims he hangs around for Harper's fresh-baked cookies.

Spending half her life in school hasn't prepared Dr. Stacey Bloom for her most daunting challenge—motherhood. She didn't inherit the nurturing gene like Harper and is in deep denial that a baby is coming. Worse, her mother will be horrified to learn that Stacey's husband plans to be a stay-at-home dad…assuming Stacey can first find the courage to tell Mom she's already six months pregnant.

Separately they may be a mess, but together Harper and Stacey can survive anything—their indomitable mother, overwhelming maternity stores and ex’s weddings. Sisters Like Us is a delightful look at sisters, mothers and daughters in today’s fast-paced world, told with Susan Mallery’s trademark warmth and humor.

WHEN WE FOUND HOME (standalone) – July 10

Life is meant to be savored, but that's not easy with no family, limited prospects, and a past you’d rather not talk about. Still, Callie Smith doesn't know how to feel when she discovers she has a brother and a sister—Malcolm, who grew up with affection, wealth and privilege, and Keira, a streetwise twelve-year-old. Callie doesn't love being alone, but at least it's safe. Despite her trepidation, she moves into the grand family home with her siblings and grandfather on the shores of Lake Washington, hoping just maybe this will be the start of a whole new life.

But starting over can be messy. Callie and Keira fit in with each other but not with their posh new lifestyle, leaving Malcolm feeling like the odd man out in his own home. He turned a sleepy Seattle mail-order food catalog into an online gourmet powerhouse, yet he can't figure out how to help his new sisters feel secure. Becoming a family will take patience, humor, a little bit of wine and a whole lot of love. But love isn't Malcolm's strong suit. . . until a beautiful barista teaches him that an open heart, like the family table, can always make room for more.

In this emotional, funny and heartfelt story, Susan Mallery masterfully explores the definition of a modern family—blended by surprise, not by choice—and how those complicated relationships can add unexpected richness to life.

WHY NOT TONIGHT (Happily Inc) – September 25

Note: Both Why Not Tonight and Not Quite Over You will be released in paperback, ebook, and audiobook, but not all formats are available for preorder yet.

*This is an early draft of the back cover copy, but is not yet final.

Natalie Kaleta will do anything for the artists at her gallery, including risk life, limb, and the effect of humidity on her naturally curly hair while driving through a downpour to check on Ronan Mitchell. The reclusive millionaire hasn't set foot in town for weeks. When a mudslide traps them together after dark and Ronan reveals his playful side, her inconvenient crush goes from under-the-radar to over-the-top.

After a secret tore his family apart, Ronan fled to Happily Inc, but the small town with the sunny name can't fix his damaged heart. He won't give in to his attraction for beautiful, perpetually cheerful Natalie. She's untouched by tragedy—or so he thinks—and he refuses to hurt her.

Natalie knows that when a heart goes through the flame, it comes out stronger. Life may not be a fairy tale, but sometimes dreams do come true. Why not this one? Why not tonight?

NOT QUITE OVER YOU (Happily Inc) – October 30
